FM ~ New Direction ~ Blog Post
I’ve been on this new musical journey for the past 2 1/2 years, and have spent a lot of time, thought, and energy on creating a unique sound. Franklin Manor has always been blessed to work with master engineers and producers that are paving the way for my ongoing drive to create new music. Teaming up with Sadaharu Yagi (engineer/producer) has been quite a privilege. Together we’ve achieved a sound that fits the sonic bill I’ve been looking for.
Not gonna lie though, It’s been quite a task. All the super late night sessions, writing, re-writing, writing, re-writing, performing, collaborating, butting heads, creative arguments, big budget, low budget, film this, film that and computer crashes that prove to be a true test of one’s patience. It’s been worth it. All for music. It always is. I’m very intrigued by the creative process, and the evolution of songwriting. The way things unfold and develop leaves me infinitely curious about what can be done next. It’s a constant flow and a higher consciousness that I’m addicted too. And those magical three and a half minutes of creating a new song that no one in the world has heard but you, are worth every hassle it might have taken to get there.
New direction, new record, and new members. The live show is coming, and I promise you won’t be disappointed. Jeff Galland (drums), Ra Diaz (bass), and Marc Aliana (guitar) are thunderous. We all are. Our visions align and it sounds like it. And we’ve been working our asses off for the past few months on perfecting the sound to match the new record. We’ll be bringing it to you with all the bells and whistles. Can’t wait to see your face in the crowd.
