To The Franklin Manor Fans – Blog Post
On behalf of the whole Franklin Manor family, I want to start by expressing my gratitude to all the contributors in our Japan campaign. We raised a substantial amount of money for the tour and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s overwhelming to see how much support I’ve gotten through the years. There have been many challenges here in Los Angeles, but a good number of fans have stuck by my side and rooted me on from day one. Starting fourteen years ago at Tres Hombres in the tiny mountain town of Woodland Park, CO, and here I am, over a decade later still getting love from the WP OG’s. And it doesn’t stop there. A big shout out to all the support from Spain, Chile, Japan, Florida, New York, and a handful of obscure towns where the sun don’t shine. I love you all. My gratitude is immeasurable.
As a result of all the support, and my years of dedication to the craft of music, I will soon embark on my first international tour, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve worked hard for many years at one of the most challenging professions in the world to succeed in, and at times I get worn out. Spending countless hours writing, rehearsing, auditioning, recording, filming, booking, gigging, etc. The list is endless. And for the most part, it’s all money going out, and close to nothing coming in. Sure, music is fun and all. It’s fun to play in bars for friends and family, I enjoy that wholeheartedly, but that’s not why I came to LA. I came here to make an impact on the world through song. Pursuing it as a life long career is a whole different animal that takes a lot of patience, a lot of sacrifice, and a burning desire to share it with the world. Now I have the opportunity to do so. Playing in front of big crowds in Japan is only the beginning of a new chapter in my musical journey. And if it wasn’t for all your support through the years, my fire might have burnt out by now.
